1. Information we do not collect

We do not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or contact information
• Financial data you enter into calculators (loan amounts, interest rates, etc.)
• Health data you enter (weight, height, temperature, date of birth)
• Code, data or documents you paste into developer tools (JSON, SQL, XML, CSV, JWTs, invoices, etc.) — these are processed entirely in your browser
• Cookies for tracking purposes or advertising profiles

2. Functional cookies

We set one functional cookie: acTheme, which remembers your light/dark theme choice for 30 days across appcafe.in sites. It contains only the word "light" or "dark" and identifies nothing about you.

3. How the tools work

Every calculator and converter on AppCafe Tools runs entirely as client-side JavaScript in your web browser. When you enter a value and see a result, that calculation happens on your device. No input data is sent to any server.

4. Share links

When you tap the Share button on a tool, your inputs are encoded directly into the URL (e.g. ?loan=500000&rate=9&tenure=20). This URL lives only in your clipboard or is shared via your chosen app. We do not log or store shared URLs.

5. Service Worker & offline caching

AppCafe Tools is a Progressive Web App (PWA). It uses a Service Worker to cache tool pages locally on your device so they work offline. This cache is stored on your device only — nothing is uploaded to our servers.

6. Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand which tools are used and how often, so we can prioritise improvements. Google Analytics may set cookies and collect anonymised usage data (e.g. page views, button clicks) — it does not receive the values you type into any calculator. You can opt out using a browser extension such as Google's Analytics Opt-out Add-on.

7. Hosting & server logs

AppCafe Tools is served by a standard nginx web server. Like all web servers, it may generate access logs containing the requested URL, timestamp, and HTTP status code. These logs are used solely for diagnosing server issues and are not shared with third parties.

8. Children's privacy

AppCafe Tools is a general-purpose utility site. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

9. Other AppCafe apps

If you use other AppCafe apps such as Finance Tracker, those apps have their own privacy policies. Finance Tracker, for example, never asks for SMS access, notification access, or bank login credentials, and does not sell your data to advertisers.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Since we collect no personal data beyond anonymised analytics, changes are unlikely to affect you.
