Frequently Asked Questions
What can I put in the text field?
Anything โ a website URL (e.g. "https://example.com"), plain text, an email address (use "mailto:[email protected]"), or a phone number (use "tel:+911234567890") so scanning the code opens the right app.
Why does the QR code look different for longer text?
QR codes automatically use a higher "version" (more modules/grid density) to fit more data. Longer text produces a denser-looking code with more squares.
What size should I choose before downloading?
For digital use (websites, slides) 256ร256px is usually enough. For printing on posters or products, choose a larger size (e.g. 512ร512px) for a sharper result.
Is my data sent to a server?
No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser using JavaScript โ your text never leaves your device.
How do I make a QR code for Wi-Fi, email or a phone number?
For email, enter "mailto:[email protected]". For a phone number, enter "tel:+911234567890". For Wi-Fi, use the format "WIFI:T:WPA;S:NetworkName;P:Password;;" โ most phone cameras recognise these formats automatically when scanning.
Does the QR code expire?
No. The QR code simply encodes the text you entered โ it doesn't expire or depend on any server, so it will keep working as long as the encoded content (e.g. a URL) remains valid.
