How is "working days" calculated?
The tool counts every day between (and including) the start and end dates, then subtracts days that fall on a weekend (Saturday and Sunday by default) or match a date in your holiday list.
Can I change which days count as the weekend?
Yes — use the weekday toggle buttons to mark any combination of days as non-working (e.g. only Sunday, or Friday and Saturday for regions with a different weekend).
How do I add custom holidays?
Enter one date per line in YYYY-MM-DD format in the holiday list box. Any of these dates falling within your range (and not already a weekend) will be excluded and counted separately.
How does "Add Working Days" work?
Starting from your chosen date, the tool steps forward one day at a time, skipping weekends and holidays, until it has counted the requested number of working days, then shows the resulting date.
Is the start date included in the count?
For "Between Dates", both the start and end dates are included in the total day count if they are working days. For "Add Working Days", the start date itself is not counted — counting begins from the next day.
What if a holiday date falls on a weekend?
It's only counted once — as a weekend day, not also as a holiday — so the "Holidays" breakdown only includes holiday dates that fall on what would otherwise be a working day.
Can I use this for a 6-day work week?
Yes — toggle off Saturday (or any single day) in the weekday selector so only Sunday is treated as the weekend, then add any public holidays to the holiday list as usual.
Does this account for half-days or partial holidays?
No. The tool works in whole-day units only — each day is either a full working day or fully excluded (weekend/holiday). Half-day leave or partial closures aren't supported.
